Welcome to Home Farm Nursery

September 2016

We would like to say a big hello to the children who are starting Home Farm Nursery and a warm welcome back to the children who are returning to nursery after the summer holidays.

We would also like to welcome all parents and carers and are looking forward to working together in partnership with you to ensure the best possible start for your child.

We understand that as a parent/carer, you may be feeling a little anxious about leaving your child at Nursery. Children settle into Nursery differently.  Some will be fine from day one; others will need a lot longer and a great deal of support. Please be assured that the nursery staff we will do our very best to make the transition into nursery as easy as possible for all the children.

Please can we introduce you to the nursery team-

Mrs Kemple (Nursery Teacher)

Mrs Cutter (Nursery Nurse)

Mrs Halliday (Teaching Assistant)

Mrs Vesely (Teaching Assistant)

Caitlin Demir (Support Assistant)

Nursery Library is now open!

       Apples library day is  Tuesday

       Pears  library day is Friday

Your child can choose a book to take home every week. We encourage parents/carers to share the story with your child, talk about the pictures and ask some open ended questions, e.g.

What do you think about ...?

What would happen if ...?

What is this like?

Why do you think this happened?

How could you ... ?

What could you tell me about?

Tell me about it...

Please remind your child to look after the books, turn pages carefully and keep the books in a safe place. Thank you.

Happy 10th Birthday

Home Farm Nursery!

The children enjoyed the celebration party. We counted and sang number rhymes to 10, played party games and had some party food.

We all had a fun time!
